Professor Abbosh has just received 2 grants under the 2024 NHMRC Ideas program - one to further develop the torso scanner ($1M) and one to develop EM sensing of haemoglobin as an alternative to blood tests.

NHMRC funding supports 28 UQ research projects

University of Queensland researchers have secured 28 grants totalling more than $29 million to address critical health challenges.
The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) awarded 3 Development Grants, 24 Ideas Grants and one Postgraduate Scholarship.
Professor Amin Abbosh received 2 grants to develop technologies to help prevent and manage liver disease, and a new standard of efficient, painless and accessible blood tests.
