May turn out to be of interest, have a read of TNG?s ann today regarding patent for a new cost effective way to extract Vanadium and Titanium from magnetite ores rich in these minerals. The reason I mention this, is the drilling MXR did at canegrass when they owned it, turned up very similar if not better %?s of V and high Titanium values as well, when compared to Windimurra Vanadium tenements which are right next door to Canegrass. Think MXR was getting 1.1% V and about 15% titanium dioxide, WVL was averaging 0.6% V, although the MXR figure was for a couple of holes only not a large sample area.
Windimurra Vanadium (WVL) was a large cap V miner that was taken down by the GFFC, now suspended at 17c, was over $5 from memory. This new technique will be cheaper than the way WVL was using to extract V and Ti. This could mean mining for these minerals in Oz may be viable. As far as I know, now that WVL is shut down, no-one is mining and processing for Vanadium in Australia.
