Great analysis, @IronPig. I agree, that the drug has multiple indications, and in this instance, it failed to meet the endpoints of the current trial. Further investigation may reveal some hidden benefits for some individuals in the trial.
The market appears to have written off the drug completely IMHO. Maybe we are clutching at straws here but the story for Avicursen doesn't end with this one failed trial so I'm still interested to see how things play out in the coming months.
I guess I'm a glutton for punishment...LOL
