Debt has consequences. So far the US has fared unscathed. Two diametrically opposed schools of economics. The one the US follows is where debt and money printing has no absolute limits and they will be forced to follow this road with 36 Trillion dollars of current debt and increasing. Debt is 120 % of GDP and increasing at a Trillion dollars a quarter. Three solutions come to mind. Default in the future on that debt, inflate the debt away at high double digit inflation, or return to a gold standard and reprice gold circa $10,000 US. That way debt and liabilities will be squared off. Trump talks about Bitcoin and adopting a fereral reserve. Personally, l think a lot of people are uneasy about digital currencies in any form. I think people pressure will determine what is adopted simply because anyone anywhere on the planet trusts in the value of gold. Governments globally have been ramming all types of currency down our throats for so long, l really believe a ground swell is building all over to adopt currencies that cannot be printed and manipulated at the behest of corrupt politicians. I could be wrong, but l think the case for gold is now as strong globally as its ever been and growing stronger. The internet and freedom of information is undermining the current financial status quo...... but the powers to be will fight it tooth and nail. Its fundamental to the divide between the haves and have nots. Times are changing, watch this space.
