In 2024 the ASX All Ords increased in the FY by 11%, exceeding the long term average of 6.71%, The index reached an all time high of 8514.
The S&P 500 put on 26.47% to November against an historical average of 10%. The DJ Industrial Average put on 12.3%, NASDAQ 100 put on 55%, the VANEck Global Listed Private Equity ETF put on 43.79%
In the tech sector the top 10 biggest stocks of the MSCI All Country World Index averaged an increase of 47% year to date.
2024 was definitely an above average year and given that ZIP put on 1400% at one point compared to the previous year I'd be worried about next year being better, I think that although there is a bit more craziness to come from the meme gallery in the early part of next year, there is going to be some volatility.
