While JPM plays their little games, I'm getting excited for the new year. I plan on moving the last 18,000 shares from traditional IRA to Roth, bringing the total to 86,000 shares in Roth. For those in the states, open a Roth account if you haven't already done so. Taxes are paid up front, then never again. So when CLVLY hovers around $7 on 1/1/25, I'll move shares and pay taxes on $126,000 in April of 2026. Sure the tax hit will be $25,000 or so, but the key is in the inevitable Nasdaq listing. The option plays will be extremely lucrative, and entirely tax free. Every $ withdrawn from Roth is tax free, regardless of when/how its earned. Hypothetically, say the stock is $30 in 2027. I could sell covered calls at the $32 level for maybe 50 cents every month, maybe 160 times, earning $8000 TAX FREE. This covered call transaction would not be possible without the underlying shares being available in that account. Good luck. DYOR
