OK Jimmy, I think different brokers have different rules. It's quite interesting to know. This means Westpac cover the buy for you on the Thursday settlement as that got to be paid to the guy who sell that to you on Monday. One thing is true for all broker is once you sale your shares, you have the credit to buy stocks without having to wait until the money is physically in the account.
