The fact that the bots are persisting in trying to keep the price down is, perhaps in an odd way, quite encouraging. I hope that these fake trades, constantly made over the last year or so, are recorded somewhere in the Ethernet. Then if the Bots' principals emerge with a very low takeover bid, this evidence of unacceptable conduct might persuade the Takeovers Panel to tell them they have disqualified themselves from the auction. There will be other, more honest, bidders for such a jewel as STX. Yes, I am an optimist.
