One thing that I'd be interested in your take or anyone who may know something - the section on Evolving deal structures talks about risk mitigation by making certain payments contingent on achieving particular outcomes. This would make a lot of sense to me if I was buying but how does that manifest for a shareholder in the targeted company (like us)? I'm assuming this is more in the realms of a partnership compared to a takeover or perhaps not and it's a payment upfront with a possibility of more to come later?? It certainly sounds like another option beyond the all cash or part cash, part scrip situations discussed here. If anyone has any experience with this please pipe up, thanks!
