Taipan, I feel your pain as there are some who have expected a lot more has received less and even lost a lot of money, as historical prices have shown.
But the question is a simple one, the points that you've raised re. the quality of the assets... do you not think that RC would have considered them before taking on the company?
I think he's a businessman out to make a buck for himself like us.
Perhaps the reason why the stock price has plummeted has been accounted for by those very considerations you've mentioned, i.e. risk in Crux, "negative" Longtom, "Basker Gummy field debacle", etc.
2 years ago, in hind sight, the stock was probably overvalued, hence the drop and not to mention the pre-gfc euphoria.
Today however, is not 2 years ago. A lot of the cobwebs been dusted, a new set of substantial holders, and at the very least I'm assuming there are deals being negotiated (that we are not privy to yet).
