Yes, Cegonha-1 is the first well into the Cegonha Oil Field, that is how the naming convention works.
That fact that they haven't done flow tests, etc from Cegonha-1 is quite telling. Contrast that with CVN and the Dorado oil field, they have Santos as the JV partner / operator == https://carnarvon.com.au/projects/project/dorado/
Dorado is light oil API== 49.7, 162M barrels, FID was expected end of 2024 but they are baulking at the ~US$2B CAPEX so are working to reduce up-front costs. This was found in 2018 / 2019 - so you can understand how long the timelines are for highly desirable offshore discoveries.
This is much shallower (80m vs 4000m), etc but it is much heavier oil and not desired by the refineries. Anyway, GL and trust no one
