I'm sure you will recall the discussion we and others had on the EBR charting thread several months ago. You were particularly bearish, not just wrt charting matters, but also other (less informed) generalist fundamental information.
Rather than go down a rabbit hole on the subject I'll just have you note that SMN is not much different to EBR. Both are event driven stocks. Until such stocks get closer to formal approval (or perhaps at approval) they tend to drift, and ride the waves (highs and lows) of general sentiment. The market currently appears to be anticipating EBR getting close to FDA approval based on its trading the past few days.
With SMN certainly there's been so much frustration over the years, and yet I consider myself a newer holder, despite holding stock since around 2016. But fortunately management have finally, and gradually developed a genuine aviation business that is at, or almost at, breakeven regardless of CVM. The approval of sensors for the APB application will finally ensure SMN becomes a profitable business, with recurring CVM income that will likely extend far beyond that particular CVM application. I don't believe we'll see a 'flash' rise as you put it, that over time will fall away - i believe we will see the market finally rerate SMN share price, along the lines of other profitable growing companies, with a relatively growth oriented P/E ratio.
As for you question regarding CU6, certainly the chart looks fairly negative, although it's rate of price decline has slowed somewhat in recent days. Until the Company provides more information on its various trials its likely to remain fairly bearish or at best neutral. It certainly was a star performer for the 15 months prior to October 2024.
