I believe trading (counter-trend) in the situation where markets trade like a robot should be as free of emotions as possible. I think I posted 3 live attempts to short XJO over the past couple of sessions. In each attempt, the trade was entered only when a key technical level was hit and intraday RSI was very hot. Position was then closed (half only) when market dropped only 15-20 points. That 15-20pt gain was then used as a tight stop for the remaining half. Two attempts were stopped out, but resulted in no net loss given this de-risking strategy. The third one is still open but has been similarly de-risked. I guess that’s one way to do it. Others may have better strategies to deal with this.

RSI was very hot Is that gambling. ? Surely if it is ICE Cold would be a better bet.
