Point is, you gotta stop saying that Hopper loaned his share out as it’s just not true. Once McQuarrie had possession of them as security for his loan, it was them that decided what to do with them not Hopper. And as we know they hedged the lot.
I’m not sure he could have opted for that but we’ll never know the terms of the deal. From speaking with 2 gentlemen who are involved with those sorts of deals, this arrangement is quite common. I would imagine that if Hopper would have demanded that then further security may have had to be put down.
