"Any luck with the 1 cent fish mate ?"

Ahh, that - bit of a long amusing story.

However, since you asked.

Humming and hawing over the weekend, decided to bite the bullet and up my bid.

I did and was third in line behind a 100k 12¢ and a small 11¢ order.

I was guaranteed to get them at 11¢, but at the ten-minute pre official open, 10¢ fish unexpectedly showed up!

Well, sez I, if I can get them at 10¢ I'd rather.

So changed my bate back from 11 to 10, which put me at number 94 in the queue, down from number 49.

I knew the first cab off the rank had no intention of paying 12¢, but that tactic is used to guarantee being first in the queue.
Doing it thus means they cherry pick all the 10 and 11¢ shares on offer until the 100k order is filled.
(surprised someone did not offer up 100k at 12¢ during that interval)

Good things may come of this yet in that I'd rather buy at 11¢ with the price going up, than at 9¢ with the price going down.
