I've just done some Friday arvo quick calcs on the guidance with relation to profit.
I've used an avg of the June and September Quarters gold prices achieved from Westgold to calc an estimated figure that they may have used to calc their profit guidance which averaged at $3,608. The calcs are there and are only estimates unless someone knows the exact figure they may have used to calculated profit guidance.
Additionally, I have estimated roughly with a conservative approach how much less they could produce of Gold to maintain the same profit figures. I feel that Gold average for the year will be much more than $3,872 per ounce and AISC should be much lower than $2,300.
With that approach I calc that they could miss guidance and produce 380,000 ounces to maintain profit guidance given the gold price remains at $3,872 for the entire level.
Let me know what you think, just estimated figures and by all means I could be way off
