It has been outside AKO’s control, but unfortunately we’ve had no real definitive derisking from madagascar yet. Lots of meetings and speeches but no outcomes yet.
But the good news is any developments on this front could (alone) have a significant impact on share price. And perhaps more importantly start an upward trend as we wait patiently until March for PFS. The news from any mining permit MOU will presumably come with a fair bit of media coverage including as initiated by Madagascar (as seen with Base Toliara).
This is a cracking project and the multiple parties interested in a strategic investment will be keenly watching the final economic metrics I’m sure.
