Sub, nowhere in my posts do I say that things are economically rosy. They are not and we have every reason to be worried, but I make the point the humans are resilient and have managed through dark times before. Unemployment in much of the world is a huge problem for those without jobs but for employers it is a boon. Supply of labor is in excess of demand so companies can pick and choose and of course pay lower salaries. People are forced to re-skill and work harder just to keep afloat. Lives are destroyed in this sort of economy.
I am just betting people will respond to the crisis and find innovative ways to emerge better off in the future. And to keep on thread, as that happens I think people will sell gold and buy into cheap property and business risk to se3cure their futures.
