You've stirred up the masses with this one, techie. I'll stick with Casablanca, even Citizen Kane. One important criterion is whether you could watch the same movie muliple times and still enjoy it, and for me the above two fill the bill. Movies like Borat might seem attractive but really how many times could you watch before being completely turned off? Any time either of my choices turn up on free to air or at some art cinema there are always repeat viewers queued up, myself included.
