It might be to help their agent (UBS) make hay while the share buy-back is paused, if they are in fact behind the shorting. AUD down, CEO 'stumbling' on growth (most CEOs don't stumble) and implying weaker numbers for the Q which is a known based on last year, and a major milestone soon to be delivered to Neuren, plus buy-back stymied for now, you might almost 'triangulate' a date for an offer in Feb sometime...LOL.
