There will always be schemes designed to unburden people of their assets and TB has rightly identified a worthy example of one designed to cause fear and bring the price of a stock by disseminating false information in an orchestrated campaign.
In the case of Sezzle, Hindenburg identified discrepancies from material which was publicly available - it just needed pointing out. For that reason the research is untainted and worthy of being used as reference material for students of stock market activities. Whether the market reacts favourably or unfavourably is another matter - it may be that where there is smoke there is fire, or it may be that holders don't care and the market turns in the company's favour.
