If you are like me I had difficulty getting my head around the concept of horizontal drilling. I received links to some animations that some of you might find interesting. I have posted the first link even though it is about shale drilling because it gives interesting commentary about the first stages of horizontal drilling. The second link is a non commentary animation about methane gas. I have posted these previously after I was given these while attending an oil company AGM. What amazed me was that the MD could direct the drill bit from his office here in Perth. James
