GBM advises minimal disruption due to Victorian floods
GBM is pleased to advise the market that none of its operations or sites has suffered any material impact as a result of the torrential rains in parts of Victoria over the last week or so.
The Inglewood operation was briefly suspended, due to inability of Bendigo based staff and management to reach Inglewood given flooded main roads. However after the rain ceased on Friday, access and gold pouring recommenced on Sunday when road access from Bendigo re-opened.
Following R&M and upgrades to the Maxwells Mill planned for and underway this week, full processing will recommence.
Par Hallberg, the newly appointed Managing Director designate of what is at present GBM?s main operating subsidiary, GBGM Inglewood Pty Ltd, stated that ?I am pleased to advise that, despite torrential rain, the Maxwells mine site at our Inglewood project was barely affected.? ?Processing operations were suspended due to the weather conditions closing the access highway?. ?After some R&M and upgrades we have scheduled for this week, the processing operations will be back in full swing with crushing circuit improvements, including commissioning of the newly installed ball mill.?
