Thank you Jevvy, you have just vindicated my presence on this forum for the last four years.
As I pointed out when I first came on here, I was solely concerned that any mine at Makuutu would end up being an environmental disaster because the grades were too low to generate sufficient profits to sustain ESG. Now despite all of the possible good intentions and assurances made by management in order to get their necessary permissions to explore and develop the deposit, it has now become a distinct possibility that the deposit may end up in Chinese hands, to the detriment of the local population.
