I just redownload IFG’s frugal app on my mobile and found it runs much quicker than before, good. However some functions looks like still not working like how to invite friends then earn credits ( but the CREDIT word here, means the company does have a plan to sell things by itself in future) . I also noticed this time the app can provide the nearby discounted products from the major supermarket according to your address, and clearly shows which shop selling it. It becomes more useful imv.

I got no idea how the company plans to make money from its APP, but I immediately have two suggestions for it:

1: AD incomes, for food/dairy/health care companies to promote their new brand /discounted products in Frugal APP. I remember hotcopper has 600k regular customers? If IFG already has 100k people downloaded the app and using it, it’s okay to run the AD business now.

2, although people can find the recent cheapest products via the frugal app, it’s still wasting time to collect here and there. I suggest the company to select 200 or 300 items which people always purchase from coles Woolworth , then build up its own online store to sell these products and provide price match guarantee. To achieve these, the company needs to secure deals with the suppliers & logistics companies, also need 2 large warehouses in Sydney & Melbourne.

No2 is not easy to achieve, but it’s still possible as:

1 the most important thing is to build customers base,to promote frugal app as where people can trust for guaranteed fairly priced grocery/ health care products , to save people’s money and time. Even if the profit margin is super low when sells products on its online shop, the incomes from AD could well cover the overallcosts.

2, as the company has Asian background, it can select 200-300 Asian/ Thailand groceries which normally have more than 20% profits margin to balance the overall margin to 10%. It’s will be convenient for Australian Asian customers to purchase discounted Aussie & Asian groceries together.

so back to No1 , as long as people trust Frugal APP , get used to shop via frugal app, it should have huge potential for the company to continue to improve /apply its data analysis techs to help people save time and money, Meanwhile being rewarded. This is really a good business direction in Australia, as people do need it!

For IFG’s other business, the newly awarded $3.8m contract, contacts with Thailand customers, existing and growing data/gaming businesses, as the SP now is too low, I don’t wanna waste more time to discuss this time.
