Probably an understatement, given Leslie's performance yesterday. However, I see both good and bad coming out of it.
Firstly, as a CEO heading a public company and being in front of your investors, in a convened EGM - you'd think some public relations, if not respect and curtesy, should have been afforded to those in attendance. To vacate a podium like some politician under pressure, come question time - Simply doesn't cut the mustard !
It's not as though investors had any input in the CR, however the reason investors were there, was to vote over the board's motion. Leslie simply got what she wanted, then arrogantly turned her back on investors. It's not unreasonable in asking questions either, given the lack of pushed back study data and an overall lack of clarity and direction by management.
Some here have suggested Leslie's on the way out. Whilst I'm sure there'd be ample replacements given the $2.5m salary, I see it as a bit of the devil you know, especially over the next six months. If she were to go it wouldn't be of her choosing, as it would be curtains for her career and unbelievable earnings.
On the up side, she was clearly running from questions. That enforces- for mine, something cant be talked about at present. The science, should there have been any disastrous findings, would need to have been disclosed to the market. Regardless, had there been any bad news- practices and dosages, would simply be wound back to previous smaller dosages, as they were exceptional considering the small patient numbers and having extremely sick patient's involved (needed to have failed at least two previous standard of care treatments). More likely -for mine, deals are being formed, or there's a rift amongst management and the board, regarding the many options (trading- partnership's or T/O's ) IMU need to consider.
One things for sure- IMU will divulge the updated results, of all three major studies between now and June.
They simply don't have the capital in attracting funding or deals, without great data coming soon. They will also run out of money by years end.
I don't put much weight on two of the five studies being shelved (not abandoned ) as they are playing their trump cards, with what resources they have at hand. Similarly, I'm still impressed with the science. Management have lost all of my respect, and are simply running out of time with what capital resources they have available. One thing's agreed amongst investors, - They did themselves no favors yesterday !
The down rampers and paid troll's are having an absolute field day, over the past 24 hours. Remember they have a paid agenda, or are burnt investors with a hole in their thong. Whatever their agenda, be it financial or emotional, their never around when there's good news.
In being balanced and objective- I'm going to ignore anything Leslie has to say (especially promotional podcasts, repeating herself) other than data or deal announcements. I'm also going to ignore all of the bagger's and troll's.
Lastly, all cards in IMU's three studies, or developing deals- will be shown by June. That doesn't seem to be too long, compared to the many years invested. It cant be pushed back any further, as they and the company won't be here to do so.
Not happy, but want to see what's been brewing !
