Plus, as we are now seeing, banks are quite reluctant to assist with this much investment in the Lithium industry. At least where new projects are seeking funds for developing new mines. Liontown IMO is the last great mine to manage the mammoth task of getting to production.
I see major issues over the next 2 to 4 years if EV demand continues on its current trajectory. Joint projects are a given, with large players such as Rio, Gina, and SQM coming to the party, but more for their own profitable reasons. Plus their own timeline to profit is years down the track.
The only real thorn in everyone’s side is the unknown from China. Hopefully that will wane.
Any other would be newcomers though will have to face the same set backs as LTR have, even more, to do what the Lion has achieved.
We made it through the door and it seems to have shut behind us. I can’t see many opening it up again that easy.
GLTAH. With TG and TO at the helm, great days ahead. Many more risks yes indeed, but IMO the great days will more than make up for the bad.
