not really relevant as the article is based on city rail but the cost is $17 million per kilometer of rail in WA and that was considered cheap?
maybe it is cheaper up north but labour / materials would cost more.
So for your $130 million in the bank you would get 7.6km of railroad. Even if it is 1 million per km you only get 130km of railline.
Just saying. Still like what they are doing.
