Me personally, I'm in it for the potential dividends in the long term. IMO this could become a reality before I get to retirement age, so when I run the numbers, the long term gains in capital growth value and potential ROI in dividends, for me at least, out weights the capital gains I could have made at the time of the peak as the capital gain tax was a was a massive disincentive. I get it bro, and I wish the timing of the peak was different, I would have definitely sold, but given the tax implications, I don't think it will make much of a difference for me in the long term.
