DuluxGroup Ltd (ASX:DLX) has confirmed the site of its main paint manufacturing plant at Rocklea in Brisbane remains shut down because of the floods in Queensland.

Dulux says it still too early to estimate the financial impact of the floods, which rose between two to three meters across the site, but it is working to make up lost production.

Dulux advises the structural integrity of the buildings and the racking within the factory and warehouse is sound, but the lower levels have been affected by water.

The Rocklea distribution centre holds around 25 per cent of the company's national coatings finished goods stock.

Dulux says it has mobilised teams to help with the clean up and minimise the plants down time.

DuluxGroup reported a net profit of $61.3 million in the year ended 30 September 2010.
