Weekly Review Li Stocks - 31st Jan 2025
.
Here is the weekly review figures and charts that I do every week. It is useful only for those interested in trading or those who hold multiple shares and based on performance would like to keep re-balancing as we go. I do hold a number of Li stocks and like to trade. This is the reason I include a number of Li Stocks in my analysis.I also have performances of Li stocks for 2024 and 2023 - for those interested in looking at longer term view.
Please note:
This is no reflection of all AU Li stocks as I have only included those that I am interested. In my list are shares that I hold, held before or planning to buy in near future.Since this is my list, I may have missed some good stocks. The averages are simple averages and not weighted averages. So the average don't reflect AU Li average. This is just for my tracking and analysis. I have both ASX and US stocks in two separate figures.

.
Please note that all my analysis are from a trading perspective looking at short-term view.

.
This week I have not added any new stocks to list, so my list still contains 90 stocks.

SYA looking very vulnerable. I wrote the same opening statement last week. This week, on numbers, it finished flat at 2.3. But made a new 52 week low of 2.1. I am not following very closely now as I can see a lot of red flags. But who knows, things can turn around. Spot price, cost reduction, some support, there is always some chance. Till then I feel long termers have to weather it out.
.
Last week I wrote that things are not looking great for Li stocks. Chinese markets closed, so there will not be any push, especially on the upside. Without the master, no one wants to take the lead. It played accordingly. Li stocks drifting, slight weakness.
.
Last week I wrote - In any downtrend, ALB needs to hold 85/86, which marks around 20% gain from bottom, otherwise a drop below 80 is possible. It closed at 84.19 on Friday, reached 83.08. So not looking great. Still a day or so for Chinese markets to open, hopefully it stays here. ASX big stocks like PLS/LTR/MIN and many others finished flat for the week.
.
So what may happen next week? All depends now on how Chinese Li stocks, mainly Ganfeng/Tianqi show next week. Will they be in happy mood or bitten by the snake? Odds of a downplay unfortunately is higher in short term. But it can change. One big day and it will all come back. Lets hope it plays out that way.
