It will be interesting to see wether there is a surge in Active Anode Imports into the USA now that the ITC has made its preliminary decision - with traders trying to front run the final (guilty) verdict,
Pleasingly - tariffs can be retro-actively applied from the ITC preliminary decision date (31st Jan - 2025) so those kind of shennanigans may be counter productive.
With Trump now limiting Musks direct access to him - I wonder If Trump may use the Graphite tarrifs to knock Musk down a peg or two to show him who’s boss.
One thing is for sure - if you required natural AAM in the USA you would likely be picking up the phone to Syrah right about now…
