Increasing tariffs on imported goods does not make locally made goods more affordable. Local manufacturers and retailers just raise their margins to profit.
also this will kill what is left of vehicle manufacturing in USA. A high percentage of components are made in Mexico, Canada and China that will push up pricing. Japanese and Korean manufacturers are laughing.
