In my thoughts the main factor, and I have no idea if it can be measured by analysis of the 3D, would be permeability for those zones. My thoughts are that if Namibia, millions of years ago, was as covered in sand as it now is and that migrated to or was part of a desert area ..... or was transported by mostly wind I would think, but not excluding water, then it could be quite porous. If it was deposited by water then I would be concerned that the fines and the clays also inherent in stream flow could inhibit the permiability once it fused into a sandstone despite it being hydrocarbon saturated. From the data in the It appears to me that these Turbidite areas are flatter and don't exhibit the winnowing effect of the Oryx zone which may not allow the cleansing of the coarser gravels. I relate this to observations on a minute scale in my area where there are creeks which erode zones and deposit gravels and I harvest the coarser zones to batch my own concrete and the lower reaches have clay and fine sands where the slope flattens out forming topsoil with little to no permeability.
