I’m not sure if the above words are applicable to the announcement, but they seem to be. The use of “underinvestment” and “engineering ramp up issues” is used to suggest no fault or blame is attributable to management, doesn’t it? It suggests or tends to suggest that decisions were not made, and that in fact, things outside management’s control adversely impacted the company. What that framing does, is undermine the previously stated guidance and the intellectual rigour of management. Because, how is it now that there is a realisation of underinvestment and how is it now that there are now realised engineering ramp up issues? Did they realise this on the weekend???

The lack of clarity and reasoning in the announcement is to be abhorred and discouraged, understandable as it might be. I’m a non-holder but keep an eye on WGX thinking that it may be worth investing in. However, this sort of opaque bomb dropping, used figuratively, is shameful.

Many others know more about mining in their little toe than I know; however I understand words quite well. For management to act as though something impacted the company rather than their own decisions being the explanation, tells me once again why this company is not worth the risk. Of course that may change, but who cares about what I do!?

Am I mistaken about what the announcement really means? Am I deluded? Or is it right that management is to blame and that it’s not external issues?
