We have been planting trees on our property for a long time. If you have some socialist agenda to prevent us turning a profit then don't expect much support from this forum. However AGW is about much more than turning a profit, It's about securing reasonable prospects for a habitable planet. I happen to believe that private enterprise is the most efficient way for this to happen. First though, there are fools on both left and right to be dealt with. I don't know if or when the greens will come to their senses and accept nuclear power as part of our greener future. I don't particularly concern my self with denialists though. They are already fading and I expect them to lie themselves further into insignificance.

You are actually wrong about clouds/steam/water vapour. Superheated steam may be literally red hot but at lower temperatures steam is actually colourless. So is water vapour. The white clouds you mention are aerosols of water droplets dispersed in air.

Like steam and water vapour, carbon dioxide is colourless. However in the quantities we now dump into the atmosphere it is still filth and it is polluting the only atmosphere we have. A carbon tax is one way to encourage us reduce and eventually eliminate this antisocial practice.
