I am glad I have accumulated knowledge about AVA for around five years now. That interview would certainly hook some newcomers. Mal talks about the lack of competition in the fibre sensor space, the high margins, the signed up Telco looking for protection of exactly what their product is designed for, the partnering with the University R&D departments in that technology and how comfortable he is about AVA's future. You have to wonder how the company has a $30.5m market cap at a time when the market is near its all time high. This remains a hold for me - Mal makes it sound good but unfortunately it also has to look good and it is far from that from the market point of view. It was a similar interview which hooked me in the first place.
