Thanks for your post. My understanding is that to qualify as a soph you must have income of $250K/yr two years in a row. I am not sure if this is gross income or taxable income. To qualify as a soph in an SMSF, you must have a balance of $2.5million or $3million (not sure, since I am nowhere close )
I think you have to renew it every few years based on your latest conditions. Hope you qualify.
