How to prepare for a market downturn. I'm the worst person to give any advice. How on earth I've managed to survive for just over 20 years is a miracle. My only motivation is travel, and when I make enough to pay for the trip, I just sell and go. I know many use the stop loss feature I never have after witnessing an incident shortly after entering the market. The share was LOM, at the time trading around 6.2c per share. Within about 30secs millions of shares were traded taking the price down to just over 3cents per share. Just as fast it went back to over 6cents per share. The comments from holders was total disbelief. I've seen it happen on other shares since then, but never so concentrated. The market is a very different beast today.
