Regardless of whether there is any sense in astrology or if we have vestigial lateral lines, if enough people believe in lunar effects and trade accordingly, it will become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
I mean to say, you just have to look at technical analysis to see how much real impact sheer nonsense can have once it's popularised... :)
