I'm just going to put this out there, perhaps there is some renegotiation happening around possibilities of tariffs? The two companies may be trying to establish the best way to avoid them for the long future ahead for both groups.
i don't pretend to know the ins and outs of tariffing on this kind of thing but I'm sure it would be disruptive to business.
