Have to agree with one of the early posters comment about GG being an intellectual and smart. But she left Aus decades ago and rarely graces the place. Is she an Aussie? I don't think so. Only started here.
My only thoughts on this subject (covers head and ducks for air raid shelter) about foreigners like Germaine Greer is: 1. Anyone leaving the country for more than a couple of years losses local pasport, privaleges etc. They can pick a new one whereverer they are now residing. 2. Anyone coming here has to do the same thing, otherwise, leave the country, forcibly if need be. ie no permament leaving but calling Australia home or coming to Australia and calling it home but keeping a foreign pasport, etc.
