I also agree with you, long term this is potentially a great investment. But, perhaps foolishly, I have 2 parcels - one long term, one I buy and sell from time to time. So I'm feeling the downwards pain a bit more directly than you might.
But my issue is about a publication I'm paying for that gives advice that is contradicted by a different publication put out by the same organisation.
