I am not surprised at this news, in fact I factored in a complete failure of the takeover - EQ still came out running fast on Spain and Mt C and on the offtake with a USA firm.

So carrying on my interpretation of a possible future I saw emphasis changing from the Vietnam venture to a possible larger one in USA, with govt support.
IMO US must be changing undies often as Tungsten shortage bites and this trade war with China builds up - Australia should do everything possible to keep the new administration on side, while taking full commercial advantage too.
