    Angola gets its rainy season every year at this time of year. While it might be a surprise to you that it rains in Angola, I'm sure those preparing the schedule and estimated time to complete construction would be aware of the rainy season and would know how to allow for it.

    As for Angola's debt to GDP, you should worry about US government debt, not Angola's. While Angola's debt to GDP has halved in only around four years from 120% to 60% and expected to continue to fall, the US is at 98% and the congressional budget office expects it to continue to rise to at least 2030 with no expectation of a slowing in that forecast period. Maybe you should worry about US companies going into administration instead based on your own logic.

    In case you missed it last time;

    Angola, debt to GDP forecast from two different sources;

    "Government Debt/GDP on Downward Trajectory: We expect government debt/GDP to fall to 63.9% of GDP at end-2024 and 58.6% in 2026, from 73.7% at end-2023, driven by high nominal GDP growth and primary surpluses that will offset the impact of exchange-rate depreciation on the large share of external debt"

    That did already feed through to higher urea prices in January and that probably has a lag so expect more price rises for this month. It shouldn't affect phosphate and TSP prices by nearly as much but as other fertiliser prices rise, phosphate and TSP producers might take the opportunity to jack up prices anyway for more profit. A bit like all the retailers here using higher shipping costs during covid as an excuse to jack prices right up and then leaving them up even after shipping costs dropped all the way back to where they started.
