Gary please post a link to that article if you can.

Regarding Turkey pulling out - I say good luck to them. Combining with other gulf states won't be enough to develop an aircraft with the capabilities of the F-35 in my opinion. It would be basically an 3rd generation type combat aircraft. Also without getting into a geo-policital-military discussion, there was always a chance they would be able to use those aircraft against Israel or the US, in the event of any conflict, or hardlining of the Turkish regime.

The only issue - is that it now gets a bit more expensive for everyone else.

But Gary - I think they are well past the stage of putting it on the backburner. You don't say you will produce 3000 of them, and then put it on hold. Even if it is inferior, stopping the aircraft would be even worse, and put a serious crimp in the US military capabilities.

Still awaiting that magical announcement. The reduction in numbers will not affect our contract much. Not in the early years anyway. They will still produce the same amuont of aircraft no matter where they go, and still require the same amount of parts. Its just probably years 15 onwards, that a increase or decrease in quantity might impact on how much we need. But by then - we won't care, as we'll be mega rich from our QHL shares, and all of the other contracts they have got (if we aren't taken over first).
