I know I might come off as a bit harsh towards them, and to be honest, it's not really their fault - they're in a business and a business's main function is profit. They've had to adapt to survive, introduction of online brokers was the beginning of their downfall, and over the past few years small caps have been in a huge bear market, so if you're a specialty broker (especially resourced based) times have been very tough. To survive, they need to turn trades and push any crap deal they can.
Will it change? likely not.
