"But I believe that a bad outcome now, while in suspension, will be worse for the SP when it relists than it would have been if the shares were not suspended from trading."
Thats very true. If trading was allowed now while uncertainty exists, it would give sellers an opportunity to over a period of time. Some could sell now while others will wait.
By leaving it until a decision is known, if it does go bad, then everyone will sell at once making a bigger mess of the sp.
If it goes bad and their is an instant appeal, then perhaps it will prop the sp a little.
This whole situation will atleast speed things up. Better to hear the challenge now. And really forces the hands of Xstrata and Anglo. A JV must be close now. Probably just waiting to finalise the DMR case.
