Lautrec, There is currently an attempt to mine coal in our beautiful Margaret River area, under the pristine vineyards. Severe opposition exists. But the plan there, too, is to tunnel underneath to avoid disturbing the surface ( read wineries & vineyards). Nothing geotechnical there, mate, just to keep the locals from sniping at them. I'll be disgusted if they allow a dirty coal mine there, and I'm not a greenie....
