Probably the people who were alive in the years 11, 111, and 1111 thought so, but I can't help feeling that here in 2011 we're a bit late for the last one-sy party (900 years late), and we've got a while to wait (9,100 years) for the next, in 11111. The year 2222 might be a better bet - 22/2/2222 could be doable for our great-great-great-great grandkids. The best we ourselves can do I think is to hope to make it to 20/11/2011 and 20/12/2012.
Just my opinion - you can tie yourself in knots trying to read significance into numbers.
